Verification result types
- Passed – the test completed successfully.
- Warning – a potential issue was found, but the DCP may still be valid.
- Failed – a problem was found that may prevent playback or cause noncompliance.
- Skipped – the test was not applicable to this DCP.
Warnings
A Warning means that DaCaPo found something that should be reviewed.
A warning does not automatically mean that the DCP is invalid, but you should understand the reason before delivery.
Failures
A Failed result indicates a problem that may prevent playback or cause the package to be noncompliant.
Review the detailed message, correct the underlying issue where possible, and verify the DCP again before delivery.
Skipped tests
Skipped means that a test does not apply to the DCP being checked.
For example, subtitle-specific tests can be skipped when the composition contains no subtitles.
Review the detailed results
The verification window displays the individual tests and detailed information for warnings and failures.
Export a verification report
Click Export Report... to create an HTML report containing the complete verification results.
The report can be shared with customers, facilities, distributors, or QC personnel.
Filter the results
Use the Passed, Warning, Failed, and Skipped filter buttons to concentrate on the result categories you need to review.
Verify again after making changes
If you correct a reported problem or replace an affected file, run verification again.
Review the new results before the DCP is delivered.
