What you’ll check
- Whether required media has moved or is unavailable.
- Whether imported assets need to be relinked.
- Whether an encrypted Timeline has a usable decryption key.
- Which Timeline status symbol DaCaPo is showing.
What does Offline mean?
An Offline Timeline means that DaCaPo cannot currently access one or more assets needed by the Timeline.
This can happen if source media has been moved, renamed, disconnected, or is otherwise unavailable.
Check the media
Confirm that all storage containing the Timeline media is connected and available.
If the files were moved after they were imported into the project, DaCaPo may still be referencing their previous location.
Relink moved media
Select the affected imported asset and use Relink to point DaCaPo to its new location.
DaCaPo verifies the replacement before updating the project reference.
Check encryption status
A Timeline already stored in a project can become unusable when a previously valid KDM or DKDM expires.
In that case, the media may still be present, but DaCaPo can no longer decrypt the encrypted assets with the stored key information.
Review the Timeline status
An orange ! indicates an Offline Timeline.
A red ! indicates Missing Media.
For encrypted Timelines, a green U indicates that a usable key is available, while a red L indicates that the Timeline is locked.
After relinking
Once all required media is available again, review the Timeline and confirm that the offline or missing-media status has cleared.
If the Timeline remains unavailable, check the Issues tab and encryption status for additional information.
